Zimtsterne (Cinnamon stars)

Ingredients:

For the dough:
 500 g Almonds and/or nuts (ground)
 2 tsp Cinnamon
 3 Egg white
 300 g Icing sugar
 Salt
For the glacing:
 1 Egg white
 125 g Icing sugar

Method:

Mix the egg white (for bith dough and glacing) and a pinch of salt and beat it until foamy (it is foamy enough if you can turn over the bowl without the the egg white flowing out)

Add the all the sugar and mix thoroughly again. Put approx. 4-5 tbsp aside for the glacing.

Add the ground almonds/nuts and the cinnamon to the mix (add enough to make though thick enough to be rolled out)

Roll out the dough.Dust the surface with the remaining ground almonds/nuts to prevent the dough from sticking to it.
Cut out stars and place them on a baking tray covered in baking paper.

Use a brush to apply some of the glacing on top of the stars.

Bake the stars at 150°C for 5-10 mins (if glacing turns brown before biscuits are done, lower heat or kepp the tray lower in the oven)
